All new faculty members complete the Teaching Online course before they begin developing their courses and teaching for the School. In the course, they learn the importance of student-centered instruction and how to apply it in their own course sites and teaching. One unit of the course focuses specifically on the student perspective and includes results of a student survey on course satisfaction. Another unit focuses on effective discussions and the importance of identifying discussion questions that prompt meaningful responses.

Student centered instruction is also part of the  T3 (Teaching Tips and Techniques) workshops held online throughout the year for faculty
