Evaluation and Assessment #1

1. (60) The program is assessed through an evaluation process that applies specific established standards.

Not Observed      Insufficient      Moderate Use       Meets Criterion Completely

The School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) does not have a separate on campus and online program. We offer our degrees delivered completely online.

The Masters in Library and Information Science program (MLIS) is accredited by the American Library Association (ALA). It was accredited for a full 7 years in 2007. SLIS will be applying for reaccreditation in 2014. This is a national accrediting body and between accreditation visits we have to supply annual statistics and biennial narrative reports addressing the standards.

The standards must be followed regardless of the delivery format. American Library Association: Committee on Accreditation: Standards
