Faculty are required to fulfill assignment and grading obligations in a timely manner. See the Minimum Instructional Expectations and Standard 5 Student Assessment of the SLIS Online Teaching Standards and Indicators.

Faculty training about providing constructive and substantive feedback was provided in the Faculty Institutes of 2012 and 2013 (see SOTE Strategies). Training in the use of rubrics is also provided in the Teaching Online course which is required of all new faculty. A workshop on rubrics was presented in the T3 Workshop series in April, 2014. Many faculty members use rubrics in their classes.
