Financial Aid
Important Information About Aid
See information about applying for financial aid here: SJSU Financial Aid & Scholarship Office
The SJSU Financial Aid Office phone number is (408) 283-7500 (select option 2).
Applicants can try to get a financial aid application on file while applying to SLIS. The Financial Aid Office will not make any financial awards or disbursements until an applicant has:
- Been admitted to the SLIS program
- Enrolled for classes
The amount awarded depends on the number of units a student takes each semester. Students need to enroll in at least 4 units (200 level courses) each semester in order to maintain eligibility for financial aid.
In order for financial aid to be available in your first semester, you must complete your financial aid application 3-4 months before the semester begins.
If you are a Special Session student and have applied for Financial Aid, you may call Carol Garcia at (408) 924-6081 for further assistance.
