CSU Mentor For Non–US Applicants
Please Note: At this time the CSU Mentor online application site requires all non–US applicants who are planning on taking online classes and never entering the United States to fill out the application as if the applicant is traveling to the US to attend classes at the SJSU campus.
The CSU Mentor system is not administered by the SJSU School of Library & Information Science. So our applicants must conform to this system until such time as it is altered to accommodate our distance education students.

Each of the items listed below leads to a tutorial to guide the applicant through the process.

- No hurries means no worries!
Special Requirements for Non–US Applicants Taking Totally Online Classes and Not Entering the US
All Non–US applicants must be sure to complete these tasks.
- Enrollment Information Selection
- F–1 Visa application
Please leave the following areas blank:- GRE
- Work Experience
- Letters of Reference
- Academic Honors
- Statement of Purpose (Do not leave blank. Instead, write in "Not applicable".)
- Financial information. Even though at the end of this application it states that you must provide SJSU with a Financial Information form, this is not true for the School of Library and Information Science. Because you will be taking totally online classes in the Special Session, you do not need to enter the United States and therefore you do not need to show evidence of financial support.
