E-mail

There are two ways of accessing Blackboard's e-mail function. The first way is to click the Communication link in your course's link menu, and then clicking Send Email:

Alternatively, you can go through the Control Panel, and click Send Email under the Course Tools section:

You will then be given a page that gives you e-mail recipient options. Instructors can send e-mail to individuals who participate in the course. E-mails can be sent to individual users or to groups of users within the course, such as all Teaching Assistants:

For this example, we will use the All Users function.

Email information

When the All Users e-mail function is used, Blackboard will prepare to send an e-mail to all the users in your class in the To field.

In the From field, Blackboard will list the e-mail address you have attached to your Blackboard account. Note: A copy of the e-mail you send will be also be sent to your e-mail account.

Enter text into the Subject and Message fields:

Then, add any attachments to your e-mail.

Click Submit to send your e-mail.
