Thread Searches A search function appears at the top of the page throughout the Discussion Board. The search includes a keyword field, date restrictions, and options for where to search.
Concurrently, users can enter a forum and perform searches as well.
To access the discussion board search, enter the Discussion Board area of the Blackboard site.
At the top RIGHT, you will see the Search button. Click on it to display the search feature:
Upon clicking the button, the search feature will appear above the hierarchical thread display area:
Please note the X that appears beneath the Search button on the top right. Clicking it will hide the search feature.
Users can enter the search terms into the Search field.
From there, users can modify their search by adding date parameters.
To begin the Search, click Go:
When users enter a forum, they can also find the Search feature available there as well. However, as in the main forum interface, they must click the 
button in order for the search feature to be displayed:
Like the search feature in the main forum interface, users can modify their search parameters by selecting to not only search the current forum, but all forums within the course.
