MySJSU Messaging

MySJSU Messaging functionality lets you send messages and enrollment information to your classes. It is required that faculty use the MySJSU Messaging System for class-related communication outside of Blackboard.

SJSU SLIS insists that faculty use the MySJSU Messaging system for contacting students about Blackboard enrollment information (i.e. Course ID, Course Name, and the Access Code for Enrollment) prior to the beginning of your semester's course.

For new instructors or those who have never had access to Peoplesoft’s MySJSU, you will need to e-mail the following information to cmshelp@sjsu.edu:

1. Name
2. SJSU ID (EMPLID)
3. Name of our Department (School of Library and Information Science)
4. Birthdate State that you are a new instructor who needs immediate access to the Peoplesoft MySJSU system so you can send messages and view your class roster. If CMS Help asks, Linda Main has already linked you to your class in PeopleSoft.

Access MySJSU
First, access the MySJSU login page. You can access this page by clicking on the MySJSU link at the top left portion of any page on the SLIS Web site:

 

From there, you will see the MySJSU home page. Click the Log In Here button:

 

 

You will see the MySJSU login page. Enter your SJSU User ID and Password and click the Sign In button:

 

 

After logging into MySJSU, click on the link called Send Messages.
