GREENSHEETThe access code for the Blackboard site will be sent to those enrolled in the class via the MySJSU messaging system on the 19th August. The Blackboard site will open for self-enrollment on the 21st August. Course Overview This class concentrates on XML. We will exam its relationship to (X)HTML, build XML pages, and study the use of XSLT stylesheets for formatting XML data. As part of our study of XSLT we will work with XPath; with filtering and querying; and with linking two or more XML files. We will also work with the DOM and JavaScript to enable us to pull specific pieces of information from XML files. Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) will be studied as will serving XML files from the server. Prerequisite Course Objectives At the completion of the course the student will have:

Late assignments will not be accepted. If you have an illness (medical certificate supplied) or a family tragedy please contact the instructor. An incomplete will not be awarded for the class. Students who need accommodation due to a disability must register with SJSU's Disability Resource Center (DRC). The Center will work with the students to determine the disability, document it, and determine the services and accommodations necessary for student success. Then, the DRC will contact the faculty member to determine the types of consideration necessary. Students must register with the Center during the first three weeks of the semester.
