Electronic portfolio of annotated items read, viewed, listened to 40%

B = All required readings, viewings, and Internet sites
B+ = Required plus some personal items
A- = Required plus many personal items
A = Required plus substantial numbers of personal items

Mini-assignments 10% (all are required, so you will get an A for completing them)

10 journal articles
A publishable review
Membership in a professional organization

Presentation/web module/major bibliography as a mini-expert on a genre or topic 20%

B = Some evidence of mini-expertice with satisfactory project
B+ = Better evidence of mini-expertice with satisfactory project or some evidence of mini-expertice with a better project.
A- = Substantial evidence of mini-expertice with a satisfacotry project
A = Substantial evidence of mini-expertice with and excellent project

Class/Internet discussion 20%

B = Some participation in both class and the Internet
A = Excellent but not dominating participation in both class and the Internet

Final Exam 10%

A = Ability to summarize and reflect upon what has been learned, and the ability to integrate materials into an intelligent discussion/essay of YA resources and work with young adults.
