Welcome

I am pleased to have you as a student in this section of collection management. I hope you will enjoy the educational experience and learn useful tools to help you in your professional career and personal development.

This is a hybrid course—most of the instruction will take place on line, but will be supplemented with a face-to-face meeting. We will be using Blackboard for course information, to send assignments, post messages and participate in discussions. We will meet face-to-face in San Jose on Friday and Saturday, February 23 & 24. Prior to that meeting, we will be using the text and supplementary materials to prepare for productive onsite sessions.

Taking an online course can be a challenging; however, by closely working together we can make this a positive and rewarding experience. In the meantime, please familiarize yourself with this page and Blackboard. Pay special attention to the calendar, and announcements to keep track of weekly assignments and other expectations.
