New Student Meet-ups Spring 2012

We are offering a variety of meet-up opportunities for new students to socialize and to discuss topics related to their academic work. There will be two or three peer mentors at each meeting to help facilitate and answer questions. See details below.

Students may RSVP for more than one session.

"Spice" up your presentations!

Description: This session will introduce the on-line presentation tool called SpicyNodes. Learn how to create a node-map and see examples for school and public library settings. You'll also learn about Jing, a great companion tool for SpicyNodes or any internet presentation.

Free Online Imaging Tools

Description: The free online image editing tool Picnik is closing up shop, but that doesn't mean there aren't other sites to help punch up your images. This session will look at Aviary and Picfull and suggest ways to apply these tools to projects and presentations.
