Title

Windows 8 Compatibility

Windows 8 was released in late October 2012.  SLIS is currently investigating Windows 8 and IE 10 compatibility with the various online services and software used by SLIS.  Please note that it may take some time for vendors to "certify" their services or software as compatible with Windows 8 and IE 10.

SLIS does realize that some students are purchasing new PCs which will come with Windows 8, and we are taking that into consideration.  However, until we're able to verify software compatibility, students will be using Windows 8 at their own risk.

We'll be tracking compatibility status for specific applications on this page.  Windows 8 users (or students considering upgrading to Windows 8) should check this page periodically for updates.
