Electronic Lists - Hotmail Users not Receiving E-mail
Symptom
I am using a Hotmail account, and I am not receiving e-mail messages sent
to the SLISADMIN electronic list.
Solution
The Hotmail Junk Mail filter (depending on your settings) may be misidentifying legitimate e-mail as SPAM and sending it to your Junk Mail folder.
Here is a list of specific things to check in your Hotmail account settings:
- Have you tried setting your Hotmail filter to 'Enhanced' mode
If not, then:
- Select Options from the main Hotmail navigation bar
- Go to the Mail category
- Select Junk E-Mail Protection
- Follow the Junk Mail Filter link
- For SLISADMIN list postings, have you added SLISADMIN to the 'Mailing Lists' section of your Hotmail settings?
If not, then:
- Select Options from the Hotmail navigation bar
- Go to the Mail category
- Select Junk E-Mail Protection
- Click on Mailing Lists
- Type the e-mail address that shows up in the To: field of messages that come from a particular mailing list
- Click Add
- Click OK
