Using Firefox & RSS

Step 1

Go to a favorite website like The Shifted Librarian. The RSS icon appears in the address bar.

Note: any site that offers RSS will cause the RSS icon to appear in the Firefox address bar.

Step 2

Click on the RSS icon in the address bar. Choose where you want the content to go.

Note: When you click on the RSS icon, it may offer a selection of feed types (e.g., RSS 2.0 or Atom 1.0). There is relatively little difference between these formats and most will be supported by any modern feed reader.

In the example below the feed is in a toolbar folder which appears under the address bar.

Step 3

The new link now appears with the RSS icon and contains all the posts from that site.

Step 4

Click on a link and enjoy content with out having to go get it!
