Using Internet Explorer v.7 & RSS

Step 1

Go to a favorite website like Professor Main's SLIS 21 Blog. The orange RSS icon located in the browser chrome below the address bar will light up.

Note: any site offering RSS will cause this icon to animate, otherwise the icon is grayed–out.

Click on the RSS icon.

Step 2

After the RSS content is displayed, click on the Subscribe to this feed link.

Step 3

Internet Explorer will ask you where to put the new RSS feed (defaulting to RSS feeds).

Step 4

The feed now appears in the panel along with history and favorites. Clicking on the green cyclone icon allows you to refresh the feed at any time.

Step 5

Click on a feed and enjoy!
