Organizational Consulting Project (OCP)

All Executive MLIS graduates must demonstrate the ability to apply what they have learned during the program by completing an Organizational Consulting Project (OCP). Serving as "consultant" to an actual client, the student will develop and manage the OCP from beginning to end. The OCP will be introduced in a one-credit course prior to the final semester of the program, during which a proposal must be developed and approved by the Executive MLIS coordinator. The actual OCP will be completed during the final semester in the program. As this is a consulting project, with a deadline, as in any business context, if you can't deliver on time, you will revert to completing the e-portfolio required of all other MLIS students. Explore the guidelines for this valuable experience by reviewing the Organizational Consulting Project Handbook. Any revisions to this handbook will be completed by October, 2012.
