Giving to The School of Library and Information Science

Thank you for your interest in supporting the San José State University School of Library and Information Science!

Contributions are used to fund student scholarships. News about past scholarship recipients can be found here: SLIS Annual Review.

All gifts are tax deductible (where applicable) and are greatly appreciated.

We offer several options for making a contribution:

Give online using your credit card.
Mail us a check – Checks should be made payable to the SJSU Tower Foundation and mailed to our School's Director, Dr. Ken Haycock, at One Washington Square, San José, CA 95192-0029.
Establish an endowment – Funds will be used to provide ongoing annual scholarship awards to worthy students. For more information, please contact Dr. Ken Haycock at 408-924-2491. (Note: Endowments are established through an initial contribution of at least $25,000.)

Many companies encourage charitable giving by matching employee donations, which can double your contribution. To find out if your employer participates in this type of matching program, contact your human resources department or click here to search our database of employers.

We also invite you to consider other ways to give to our School, including deferred or planned gifts through bequests and contributions of real estate, appreciated stocks and securities, and retirement plan assets. For more information, click here.
