Dr. Paul M. Christensen

Lecturer

Dr. Christensen holds degrees from the University of Washington and Brigham Young University (MLS and Ed.D.). He began his career as a teacher and a library media specialist at the American School in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. For the last thirty years, he worked in Washington State schools, primarily in the North Kitsap School District.

In February 2007, Dr. Christensen began working as a Fulbright Scholar at the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The University is implementing a new masters' degree program in Information Science and Librarianship. Dr. Christensen collaborated with the National Library on a study of the public library system in the country. He assisted the professional library association in Honduras (ABIDH) creating a strategic plan for professional and library development.

Dr. Christensen served as an adjunct faculty member for Seattle Pacific University teaching courses in "School Library Administration." From 1994 to 1998, Dr. Christensen was a member of a teaching team for City University in their Masters' of Education program. In 2003, Dr. Christensen retired from the United States Army/Army Reserve after more than thirty years of service.
