Derek Christiansen

Lecturer

Derek is a recent graduate of SLIS [2008]. For the last 18 months of the program he was graduate assistant to the SLIS web technologist. In that role he developed web applications for the SLIS website using Ajax, PHP/MySQL, JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, and XML. He is currently a Library Assistant at the Laguna Niguel branch of the Orange County Public Library system, and also a Mr. Mom to his two teenage sons. Derek is an advocate of the opensource software movement and is a proponent of Singularitarianism.
