Dr. Ron Critchfield
Lecturer
Dr. Critchfield brings an interesting collection of professional experience to the classroom. At various times in his professional life, Critchfield served as an assistant director of an academic library, a website coordinator, a college professor (both in the traditional classroom and online), and as a statewide library consultant for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Dr. Critchfield is currently the director of the Jessamine County Public Library (www.jesspublib.org) in Nicholasville, KY.
Dr. Critchfield is especially interested in the focus on information literacy by both academic and public libraries. In addition to this, Critchfield ponders the present and future of the public library and its effective management at the present to bring about future viability/vitality.
