Dr. Meredith Evans Raiford

Lecturer

Meredith Evans Raiford is an experienced librarian, archivist, instructor, and manager. She is presently Curator of Printed Materials at Robert W. Woodruff Library (AUC). Dr. Evans-Raiford has extensive management experience and training that includes financial accountability such as purchasing, budgeting, hiring and training.

Dr. Raiford's area of expertise lies in developing record keeping programs, collection development policies and procedures, reference services in libraries and archives and digital library program initiatives. Although most of her professional work involves academic institutions, she also has experience evaluating documentation strategies in non-profit organizations and other cultural institutions.

Most recently, Dr. Raiford has evaluated record keeping programs within six different churches to foster collaboration with professional archival institutions. Within her current position she assists with the development of library policies and procedures and is active on a variety of committees, such as the Digital and Technology Services Committee. She is also an active member of the Society of American Archivists, the American Library Association, and the National Council of Public History.
