Nancy L. Goldman

Lecturer

Nancy Goldman is Head of the Pacific Film Archive Library & Film Study Center at the UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAM/PFA), where she has worked since 1980. She directs all aspects of the Library & Film Study Center, including providing reference and access to collections of books, periodicals, stills, posters, documentation files, and films and videos. She also coordinates future planning for the unit, supervises cataloging, and manages CineFiles, PFA's film document image database.

Nancy is Head of the Cataloguing and Documentation Commission of the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF); regularly teaches seminars on film cataloging, bibliography, and access; and is an active writer and speaker in the field of moving image archiving. Recent presentations include "Challenges In Managing And Using Digital Files In An Archive Library," presented at the 2008 FIAF Congress; "Users and Access," presented at the 2006 OCLC Western Digital Forum on Sound and Moving Images; and "The Copyright Resources Project: Results and Conclusions," presented at the 2005 Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) Conference.
