Jason J. Kaltenbacher
Lecturer
Jason Kaltenbacher earned his M.A. in Archives & Records Management (History) and a B.A. in History through Western Washington University. His graduate research focused on electronic records preservation. He also holds a Certificate in Web Content Development. A lifelong student, he has completed additional coursework in business administration, nonprofit management, grant writing, and foreign language.
Jason currently operates his own consulting practice, primarily offering nationwide records management policy and retention schedule development to several organizations. Prior experience includes the development of a records retention system for the Archdiocese of Seattle's administrative offices, parishes, and schools. He served on the development team for the King County (Washington) Electronic Records Management System, which ultimately serviced 17,000 employees. He developed retention schedules and conducted records surveys for the Oregon Secretary of State. Other experience includes an internship at Snohomish County Public Works (Washington), and several volunteer or consulting projects with the Center for Pacific Northwest Studies, Western Washington University, Kitsap County Sheriff (Washington), and many others.
