Dr. Susan L. Maret

Lecturer

Susan Maret teaches an online seminar "Information Secrecy and Freedom of Information" for the School of Library & Information Science at San José State University. Dr. Maret has a research interest in information ecology, information seeking behavior, information integrity, security classification of information and national security controls on information, the Freedom of Information Act and its exemptions, and the relationship of human rights and access to environmental information. A former science and government documents librarian, Dr. Maret is a member of the Progressive Librarians Guild's Coordinating Committee, on the Electronic Green Journal Board of Editors, and was a Wingspread Statement Precautionary Principle participant.
