John William McGinty
Lecturer
John McGinty has been the Director of the Loyola/Notre Dame Library located in Baltimore, Maryland since 2000. Previously he had been the Library Director at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. He has spent his 35 year career in academic librarianship, specializing in implementing library systems and managing digital projects. He has a strong interest in library architecture having managed the design and building of two academic libraries. Currently he is writing a book for ALA titled Field Guide to Libraries covering the notable building projects of the last fifteen years.
