Lisa A. Valdez

Lecturer

Lisa Valdez has more than two decades of proposal development experience in education and health care settings. She developed numerous successful proposals for multi-year government contracts valued at up to $50 million annually on behalf of a large national health care corporation. She also developed successful grant applications totaling more than $3 million on behalf of universities and non-profit organizations, including the School of Library and Information Science and the University Library at San José State University. Her funded grant applications include six awards from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) totaling nearly $3 million.

Lisa also has a broad range of experience in business development, public relations, and marketing. Her background includes outreach communications, social media marketing strategies, student recruiting, client education initiatives, and contract analysis and negotiation.
