Dr. Robert Wagers
Professor Emeritus
Robert Wagers was born and raised in Lodi, California. He explains, "That should explain most of my quirks. " Graduate work in philosophy and history of science led him to librarianship, "mainly to find a job in something I thought I understood."
Dr. Wagers has been at San José State since 1976 and developed the first courses in online searching. He has ridden that hobby horse in his research ever since. With apologies to Tom Lehrer, says Wagers, "I see my objective in life the prolonging of adolescence beyond all previous experience!"
