Dr. Robert Ellett was master of ceremonies and presenter at ALA Preconference
Dr. Robert O. Ellett was the master of ceremonies and presenter at the ALA ALCTS Preconference
, "Cataloging Digital Media Back to the Future!", held July 9 - July 10, 2009. He addressed how the new cataloging rules, Resource Description and Access (RDA), will increase access for users of digital media. He also planned the preconference, "FRBR, RDA, and FRAD: What You Need to Know" and the program "Test-Driving RDA: Look Before You Leap". Dr. Ellett is a member of the Cataloging and Classification Executive Committee and the RDA Implementation and Planning Task Force.
Dr. Ellett is a SLIS lecturer and teaches beginning and advanced cataloging classes.
Alum Rachel Clarke publishes an archival case study in American Archivist
Alum Rachel Clarke (2008) published a case study in the Spring/Summer
2009 issue of
American Archivist titled
"Preservation of Mixed-Format Archival
Collections: A Case Study of the Ann Getty Fashion Collection at the
Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising."
Clarke writes, "This paper was first written for
Vicki McCargar's preservation
management class (LIBR 259); she encouraged me to submit it for
