Individuals holding a master's degree in any discipline are eligible to apply to the SJSU SLIS Post-Master's Certificate Program.

Application Process

Our application process involves three steps:

1. Contact our School's graduate advisor, Dr. Linda Main, to express interest in our program and be assigned an academic advisor. Please also include when you graduated with your masters degree, which subject area, and where you are working.
2. After receiving Dr. Main's approval, submit an unofficial transcript showing a completed master's degree to Vicki Robison. Submit the transcript in PDF by email. We do not accept paper copies.
3. Pay your fees after you are enrolled in each class.

Enrollment Deadlines

The deadline to apply for admission for Fall 2013 is Monday, July 8, 2013.

Fall courses begin on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 (though you are encouraged to begin Libr 203 on August 1).   Once admitted to the program, the deadline to request classes is Monday, July 15, 2013.

Students can choose to start the program in the Fall or Spring semesters. Students already enrolled in the program can also take Summer session courses.

Our School's student services coordinator, Vicki Robison, will manage the process to enroll you in the courses you choose each semester.
