Leadership and Management

The Post-Master's Certificate with a leadership and management focus is aimed at professionals who wish to upgrade their competencies from a managerial and leadership perspective and who are assuming –or would like to assume– leadership and management positions such as branch manager, deputy director, coordinator, head of marketing, or information technology specialist.

All students in the Post-Master's Certificate Program must start the program by completing the following one-unit course that introduces them to our School's sophisticated online learning environment: Online Social Neworking: Technology and Tools.

Certificate students may select any five classes from the Foundation and Recommended Courses in the Leadership and Management pathway (with the exception of internships). You will have access to a wide range of offerings such as financial management, grant writing, human resources management, leadership, marketing, managing electronic resources, managing change, managing technology, project management, digital copyright, national information policy, diversity issues in information environments, intercultural communication, and web analytics.

Courses are regularly updated to ensure they include the most current content possible. When you are enrolled in a course, you'll have access to the current syllabus for that course, before it begins. You are not required to meet prerequisites but the instructors will expect you to keep up with the class.
