Title
Jamal Cromity is a User Experience Designer (UX) for a healthcare marketing and promotions agency. As a member of the agency's digital creative team, he is responsible for leading design projects for websites, mobile devices, tablets, DVD software packaging, content management services (CMS) and software as a service products (SaaS). Prior to his current role, for over 13 years Jamal worked for ProQuest Dialog and Thomson Scientific of Thomson Reuters where he has held positions such as UX Specialist, Product Developer, and Web Designer at various times in his career.
A well published author, Jamal is currently the Associate Editor for the New Review of Information Networking journal by Routledge of Taylor & Francis. An NCLA Roadbuilder and ALA Spectrum Scholar, for his work and writing in the information retrieval industry, he has received numerous awards from library associations, such as ALA, SLA, NCSLA, and NCLA. Certified in pragmatic marketing, he enjoys applying the user-centered design approach to projects and guiding successful deployment of well designed user interfaces for major enterprises such as Salix Pharmaceuticals, Sanofi Aventis, Sygenta, UCB Pharma, IBM, AT&T, and many more.
