Troubleshooting Database Connection Problems

In the past, a few DialogClassic.com and Factiva users have had problems
accessing the system for the following reasons. One of the changes below has
solved problems.
Disable:
1) Personal firewalls
2) Pop-up ad blockers - Google and other toolbars both have these and should
be disabled; Earthlink software comes with a pop-up ad blocker.
3) Cookie managers
4) In your IE Browser:
*Click on Tools
*Click on Security
*Click on Trusted Sites
*Uncheck the box that's checked and type in the URL for the system you are
trying to access to list it as a Trusted Site.
5) Lower security in Norton, or other antivirus software you may use. You may wish to have security set just below Medium, which indicates Safe Browsing and
prompts you before downloading potentially unsafe content, etc.
