Friends of the Leisure World Library Scholarship

The Friends of the Leisure World Library offers an annual scholarship competition for Southern California SLIS students interested in a career in public libraries.

Criteria:

Completed 6 courses with a 3.0 GPA or better
Committed to a career in public librarianship
Attend awards banquet

There will be two scholarships of $1,000 each awarded. The recipients will be honored at the Friends of the Leisure World Library Annual luncheon on May 21, 2008 at Seal Beach Leisure World. (Award includes a lunch ticket for awardee and a guest.)

Deadline: March 28.

To apply, submit your resume and personal statement using the SLIS Scholarship Application form. When using that form to apply for this scholarship – use pull-down for any SLIS Scholarship but in the "Name" text box, make sure to add the words "FW LEISURE" after your name.
