Using SLISLife Forums

SLISLife Forums are another exciting aspect of SLISLife. To access the forums, click on the button on the top of the page that reads "Forums."

Currently, the forums are organized under four main topics, with various subtopics underneath.

To start a new thread or to reply to a thread in any of the subtopics, click the main topic that you are interested in responding to. For example, click the "School and Schoolwork Issues" main topic.

Next, click the subtopic "SJSU Bureaucracy".

From here, you can either (A) start a new thread or (B) reply to an already existing thread.

For example, click "Navigating through the SJSU Bureaucracy".

To (A) Reply to a thread, click the "Post a Comment" that is either located at the top left side, or at the bottom left side (not pictured).

Add your comment in the "Content" box, and click the post button when you are done adding your response. Or if you would like to review your response before making it live, click the preview button. If you are satisfied with your response, then click post.

To (B) Start a new thread, click the "Start a New Thread".

Add the title of your subtopic in the "Subject" box. Then add your information in the "Content" box. Do not leave either of these areas blank because they are required fields. You have the choice to use the content editor if you are not familiar with HTML, or you can write with HTML by clicking the source button. Click the post button when you are done.
