Privacy Settings
SLISLife Profiles are only viewable by registered users who are logged into the network.
If you would like to restrict access to your profile further, SLISLife provides additional options for privacy settings.
From your profile page, you have two different ways to access the privacy settings options. At the top of your profile, you will see a link that says "Info: Currently Public." Midway down the left column on the page, you will see a link that says "Edit Profile." Clicking on either of these links will bring allow you to edit your privacy settings.
Clicking on "Edit Profile" will bring you to a page that allows you to edit the information you filled out when you first registered. At the top of this page, you will see a link that reads "Edit Account Settings."
Click on this link and you will see a screen that allows you to edit your profile settings. From here, you can restrict access to several different portions of your profile.
You can restrict access to the following portions of your account:
- Your profile
- Your photo
- Your list of friends
- Your online status
- Members who can send you instant messages
- Members who can invite you to join a group
- Your bookmarks
For each of these parts of your profile, you have three options:
- Visible to all: this means that everyone who is registered and logged into SLISLife will be able to see this part of your account.
- Friends only: this means that only users who you have marked as your friend will be able to see this part of your account.
- Private/No One: this mean that you are the only person who will be able to see this part of your account, and that no one will be able to send your invitations or instant messages.
When you have marked your privacy settings as you want them, click the button that says "Save" at the bottom of the page. Your new privacy settings will now be active.
