Uploading videos to YouTube
If you want to embed videos into your SLISLife blog, you will have to host the video at another location, such as YouTube. For this, you will need a YouTube account. To get a YouTube account, visit www.youtube.com and click the "Sign Up" link on the top of the page.

This will bring you to a sign–up screen. Fill out all the required fields, then press the "Sign Up" button at the bottom.

You will then receive an e–mail from YouTube asking you to confirm your account. Click on the link contained in the e–mail to make your account active. Once you have confirmed your account, you can begin uploading videos. Login into YouTube and click on on the yellow "Upload" button on the upper right corner of the screen.

This will bring you to a page asking for information about the video you plan to upload. Enter a title and write a brief description of what the video contains. When you've filled out all the requested information, click the "Upload Video" button at the bottom of the page.

On the next screen, you will select the video you want to upload. Click on the "Browse" button to select a file from your computer to upload.

From here, you will need to choose a video from your computer. Once you find the video you want, press the "Open" button.

Once you have selected the video you want to upload, press the "Upload Video" button.

While the video is in the process of uploading, the page will display a flashing asterisk to indicate it is still working.

Be patient. This can take a while, especially if you have a large file.
When your video has finished uploading, you will see a screen that says "Upload Complete." On this page, there will be a box containing the code you need to embed your video onto another webpage.

To embed your video into a SLISLife blog, copy this code and follow the instructions for embedding Media into Blogs.
