Start here and then follow the instructions to install Sloodle.

SLOODLE 1.0.1 (Latest Release)

This is the most recent version of SLOODLE.

Moodle modules (required):

• Download SLOODLE 1.0 *.zip - recommended for Windows users
• Download SLOODLE 1.0 *.tar.gz - recommended Linux/Mac OSX users

Second Life tools (required):

• Deliver Sloodle 1.0 Set to you in Second Life! Click -> Distributor

SLOODLE 0.4

Moodle modules (required):

• Download SLOODLE 0.4 *.zip - recommended for Windows users
• Download SLOODLE 0.4 *.tar.gz - recommended Linux/Mac OSX users

Second Life tools (required):

• Deliver Sloodle 0.4 Set to you in Second Life! via xstreetsl

Development versions

You can also download the 'bleeding edge' version of SLOODLE. This will be updated within 15 minutes of any changes by the developers, it may contain untested bug-fixes or additional working features that have not yet been widely tested - but should be stable enough to work with.

• Download SLOODLE Latest Dev *.tar.gz - (tarball, recommended for Linux/Mac OSX users)

Sloodle Addons, Extensions, and Plugins

Addons are optional features which can extend the Sloodle functionality. Some of them are developed by the core Sloodle team, and others have been contributed by 3rd party developers.

NOTE: There may be extra installation needed to add these to your Sloodle Website.

• Deliver the Sloodle Addons to your avatar in Second Life!

In the Addon package you will find:

• The Sloodle 1.0 Awards System - Motivate students with Points in SL fed directly into the Gradebook
• The Freemail Blogger - Send SL Postcards directly to your Moodle Blogs
• SLOODLE Tracker allows interactions with objects in Second Life to be tracked and recorded (University of Ulster)

• Subversion (svn) client software.
  • Mac OS X
  • Tortoise SVN for Windows
  • Most Linux distributions already include a Subversion client (svn)

On Linux / Mac OS X, use the command line (or terminal) to execute the following command to checkout the module (replace the address with those above to checkout other parts):

  svn checkout http://sloodle.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/sloodle

On Windows, with Tortoise SVN, right-click the directory where you want to put your code and click "SVN Checkout", and enter http://sloodle.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/sloodle then click "OK".
