SLIS 50th Anniversary
Reception
The 50th birthday party for SLIS was held at the Hyatt Sainte Claire's Il Fornaio restaurant on Sunday, November 14. Approximately 135 people gathered to renew old friendships and celebrate. Highlights of the evening included greetings from California State Librarian Susan Hildreth, CLA President (and SJSU SLIS alum) Danis Kreimeier, and SLIS Alumni Association President Fred Gertler. Entertainment included a fashion show featuring librarian and patron apparel through the decades.
