Dr. Lili Luo presented Guide to Reference website in Second Life on January 25th

Dr. Lili Luo presenting in Second Life at ALA Island.
Dr. Lili Luo delivered a presentation on the ALA Island in Second Life to introduce the new Guide to Reference website to
the library community at 10 a.m. PST, January 25, 2009.
Dr. Luo is a full-time faculty member, and teaches the SJSU SLIS classes Reference and Information Services (LIBR 210) and Research Methods in LIS (LIBR 285).

Mary Ellen Pozzebon
will conduct a workshop titled, "Electronic Resources Management in Today's Library" at the
ACRL 14th National Conference
in Seattle, WA in March 12-15, 2009. The workshop will be on Saturday, March 14, 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. "This workshop will provide an introduction to electronic resources management in libraries. The emphasis will be on workflows and teamwork, purchasing and administering electronic resources, and utilizing third-party management products. The presenters will provide an orientation to the essential components of managing electronic resources and strategies for doing it well." For further details, see workshop description
