Dr. Mengxiong Liu selected as seminar presenter in IMLS grant "Think Globally, Act Globally"
Dr. Mengxiong Liu
has been selected as the seminar presenter who will join the first training group to China in May under an IMLS grant — Think
Globally, Act Globally. This IMLS grant of $500,000 was granted
to the partnership of the
Chinese American Librarians Association
(CALA) and the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, for
librarian collaboration and exchange between the United States and China.
This two-year project will involve
the professional development programs in the United States and China: 1) sending
US librarians to China to provide training seminars; 2) placing Chinese
librarians at US institutions around the US to provide opportunities in training and cooperation. For more details about the program, please seeĀ
