Elluminate is a web conferencing tool used at SJSU SLIS. It offers the opportunity to interact with faculty and other students even though you may be miles, even oceans, apart. Prepare now for a great Elluminate experience!
Get started:
- Get a microphone. A headset/microphone combination is best. Read more about recommended equipment. Plug in your microphone and proceed to step #2.
- Go to http://www.java.com
to download and install the Java Web Start. Don't worry--they make it easy! - Go to the Configuration Room on the http://elluminate.com/support/
page (see step #2 on the page). You'll test your audio here. Be sure your microphone is plugged in. - Go to the SLIS Elluminate Drop-in Center to be sure you can successfully connect to the SLIS Elluminate server (see what to expect when connecting). Note: No password is necessary for the Drop-in Center.
