Dr. Michele A. L. Villagran, Assistant Professor at San Jose State University School of Information and Lisa Martin, Coordinator of Outreach & Business Librarian, MD Anderson Library, University of Houston, will present on “Building the Emotionally Intelligent Workplace: Ways to improve the self, others, and overall” at the Special Libraries Association annual conference, June 14-18, 2019 in Cleveland, OH. In this session, attendees will learn not only how to improve their emotional intelligence awareness and abilities but also how to apply those abilities to improving their workplace. Attendees will walk away with practical strategies for next steps to take. This session assumes that attendees are familiar with the basic concepts of emotional intelligence.
