iSchool and LYRASIS Partner to Expand Continuing Education Courses

The San José State University School of Information and LYRASIS Learning are now offering professional development and training courses to meet the needs of information professionals.

LYRASIS Learning is an education platform for webinars on subjects, such as content solutions, leadership and emerging trends, preservation solutions and technology. iSchool instructors will be teaching courses through the partnership.

Student Research Journal Appoints New Editor-in-Chief

San José State University School of Information’s Student Research Journal announces a new editor-in-chief has been appointed for the 2018-2019 academic year. Megan Price, a graduate student in the Master of Library and Information Science degree program, is the journal’s eighth editor-in-chief.

New Scholarship Opportunities for iSchool Students

A greater number of students enrolled in the MLIS or MARA program at the San José State University School of Information will receive scholarships in spring 2018 with the addition of 22 scholarships worth $1,422 each.

Library 2.017 Makerspaces Conference Coming in October

San José State University School of Information is hosting its third and final Library 2.017 web conference on the subject of “makerspaces” Oct. 11. The conference will be held entirely online from noon to 3 p.m. Pacific Time, and registration is free.
