Instructions

Use this form to indicate which Special Session certificate courses you would like to take for the upcoming term. It is your responsibility to 1) check your specific Post-Master’s Certificate Pathway or your Advanced Certificate Pathway and 2) cross-check the Special Session Schedule of Classes to verify the approved classes and topics you are requesting are on the schedule and satisfy your certificate program.

There is no mixing and matching, or substitutions of classes from other certificate pathways.

All Special Session classes have class section numbers -10 and above — be sure that the class you are requesting is a course and topic available from the upcoming Special Session schedule of classes (Certificate students do not take classes from the Regular Session schedule).

Based on availability, you will be contacted with the permission number(s) which will allow you to register online through the MySJSU system once online registration opens for Special Session students. Priority Class Requests

Summer 2024: Beginning on Mar. 11th, 2024 at 8am Pacific, please submit summer elective requests via this webform. The Priority window for requests will close at 5pm Pacific on Mar. 19th, 2024. After this date, we cannot guarantee your seat in your first choice of electives. Requests that come in to the web form after this date, will then be filled on a space available basis. 

Fall 2024 Requests: No earlier than April 15th, please submit Fall 2024 elective requests. The Priority Deadline for Fall 2024 elective requests is April 22nd, 2024 at 5pm Pacific. After that point we will have the webform open through Aug. 9th but are unable to guarantee a spot in certificate students’ first choice electives. Fall 2024 MySJSU continuing students special session registration will occur April 30th – Aug. 18th, 2024. New certificate student registration will start in June and conclude on Aug. 18th. We will email permission number(s) to requestors about a week before registration opens. *New Post-Master’s students for Fall 2024 will automatically receive a permission number for INFO 203 and do not need to request it via this webform.

Enrollment in either Fall or Spring semester each year is required to remain an active student. Select one option which best describes your status this coming session.
