REFORMA Orange County Chapter Scholarship Competition

Post

The Orange County Chapter of REFORMA seeks to support the recruitment and retention of bilingual Spanish/English students to the profession of librarianship through local REFORMA chapter scholarship funds. Orange County Chapter of REFORMA invites current and future library and information studies students to participate and apply for its two scholarships: Patricial Ayala Family Scholarship (requires Southern California residence) and Serrato Family Scholarship (requires Orange County, California, residence).

Applicants must currently attend or have been accepted to any ALA-accredited institution for the upcoming fall semester. Applicants must also be bilingual/bicultural (Spanish/English) and/or committed to working with the Latino community. Proof of Southern California or Orange County residence (depending upon the scholarship applying for) and college acceptance/attendance is required.

Scholarship awards are to be applied to school expenses. The number and amount of each scholarship will be determined yearly by available funds.

For application forms and more information, please see the REFORMA Orange County Chapter webpage.
