Building a Roadmap for Implementing an ECM Solution
MARA Guest Lecture

Organizations that want to implement a new ECM solution or move from one ECM to another often underestimate the resources necessary to not only move but to improve business processes. ECM solutions should be implemented with full knowledge of their capabilities and the objective of improving the way employees work by taking advantage of all the features of an ECM solution. The work begins by understanding where you are today. This session will explain how to look at “today” and build a roadmap comprised of the steps and a timeline for implementing a solution.

Individuals requiring real-time captioning/closed captions or other accommodations should contact Sue Alman as soon as possible.

Time: 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.

European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): A Path Towards Records/Information Management Compliance
MARA Guest Lecture

The European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) took effect on May 25, 2018. The regulation is designed to protect the privacy rights and freedoms of individuals residing in the EU. However, the regulation is being deemed the new “gold standard” for privacy protection globally. Under GDPR, individuals have specific data subject rights relating to data erasure/deletion and organizations have defined data retention and destruction responsibilities. In this session, Lisa will introduce attendees to GDPR and share how to facilitate a path towards records/information management compliance under the regulation.

Individuals requiring real-time captioning/closed captions or other accommodations should contact Sue Alman as soon as possible.
