- Dr. Sandra Hirsh, director of the San José State University School of Library and Information Science, shares a few words about this year's graduates in her "Message from the Director," originally published in the 2013 Convocation program.
- Nancy MacKay, a lecturer at the SJSU information school, recently published “The Community Oral History Toolkit,” aimed at helping community groups learn about oral history best practices.
- One of the most prestigious awards for graduating students is the Ken Haycock Award for Exceptional Professional Promise, which this year goes to MLIS student Shelli Owens. SJSU SLIS congratulates all the award winners!
