Colloquia

From the convenience of your desk, your favorite coffee shop, or any location where you have Internet connection, you can access live and recorded webinars featuring guest lectures from experts in the fields of library and information science, information governance, and corporate archives.

In addition, the SJSU School of Library and Information Science offers a free Career Colloquium Series dedicated to career development. Presenters in our Career Colloquium Series share job search tips, resume advice, and career insight. New topics are presented each semester during the academic year.

The SJSU SLIS Colloquium Series is a must-attend for librarians, information professionals, archivists, and records managers who want to stay up-to-date in an evolving information landscape.

The Colloquium presentations are conveniently held online via the web conferencing program BlackBoard Collaborate. If you are unfamiliar with Collaborate, a tutorial is available, as well as a Quick Reference Guide. (Please see Guide to Using Collaborate).

The online seminars are FREE to attend and open to the public.

To view the listings of colloquium presentations including presentation abstracts, speaker biographies, and links to live presentations and webcasts, please select the semester of your choosing on the left sidebar.

Live presentations are only available for the current semester. Join the conversation and follow our tweets during the live presentations using the Twitter hashtag #sjsucolloquia.

Past colloquia are available as webcasts on each semester page; please see left sidebar. Archived webcasts can also be viewed at your convenience on our video page and the SLIS Colloquia blog. Podcasts can be downloaded from iTunes.
