SLIS course fees vary depending on location, term, and number of courses taken. SLIS offers courses through Regular Session and Special Session. Regular Session is supported by state funding. Special Session is self-supported. Note: Both Special Session and Regular Session schedules include on-site classes AND Web-based classes. Fees are paid to Cashiering Services, a part of the Bursar's Office. See the Bursar's Office Web site www.sjsu.edu/bursar/ for information about fees, deadlines, payment methods, parking fees, and refunds. (Special Session students: See more information below about fees for Special Session.)
Pay fees on time! If your payment is late, you will lose your placement in the classes for which you've registered. You will receive the due date at the time you register.

Problems with Fees: If any students
studying in SLIS have any problems

include Student ID, Student name and Department name (for the Department name, please use either MLIS or SLIS).
Regular Session (State-supported) Fees
Regular Session course fees are based on a set cost per unit, plus mandatory campus and departmental fees. See the University's fee information at: www.sjsu.edu/bursar/fees/regfees/
In addition, there is a technology fee of $50 per course in the School of Library and Information Science.
Non-residents must pay an additional $339 per unit.

Special Session Fees
Our Special Session fees are based on the cost of running the course and providing the necessary technology. The state of California does not provide funds to support these classes. The SJSU campus mandatory fees do not apply to our Special Session courses. See more information on Regular Session vs. Special Session.
Special Session courses cost $439 per unit.
Special Session fees are due within 21 days of registration. Go to my.sjsu.edu and look under student self service for the option to pay fees. All the necessary information to pay fees is there.

to discuss installment plans. A $33.00 non-refundable installment plan fee will be assessed.
